I believe that recognition of beauty around us, is crucial to happiness, creativity, connection. These moments are always around us, the problem is the filter of our perception. When we stand in recognition of beauty even momentarily, it changes us. Images that I choose to paint, have been moments of such recognition. They nourish me in ways unexplainably filling. The layers of personal meaning I find in such images, reveal themselves slowly through time, making me grateful for the moment I took to look.
